PostSubject: 2010 Week 12   2010 Week 12 EmptyTue Mar 30, 2010 9:38 am

is up! Sorry for delay, it is hard for me to play on weekends due to basketball and it being the weekend everyone congregates to the room the ps3 is in and watches tv and stuff, so it isnt easy to just get a game in whenever I want too... not as bad during week though.

Try to get this week done by Wednesday night.

Gators dominate Bulldogs, clinch SEC east crown

Gainesville, FL - The number 7 Florida Gators clinched a rematch with the LSU Tigers in Hotlanata with a 49 to 21 throttling of the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Gators set the tone early jumping out to a 35 to 7 halftime lead. Wildcat quarterback Jordan Reed started the game off with a 4 yard touchdown to give the Gators a 7 to 0 lead and they did not look back. Jeff Demps, Deonte Thompson, Chris Dunkley, and Andre Debose all had touchdowns in the first half, to go with Emanuel Moody's third quarter touchdown catch and then Demps added another to his total in the fourth quarter. "It kinda sucks not being able to get all our backs work late in games right now, actually it just plain stinks. All our backs are able to go from the get go and we like to get them in and out of there, we hope Mike can get back next week and then we hope Chris will be back for the SEC championship game," said Coach Hickerson when asked about Chris Rainey and Mike Gillislee's injuries. Both are running backs and with their injuries several weeks back the Gators have been playing with just Jeff Demps and Emanuel Moody due to Mack Brown being redshirted.

On the afternoon quarterback John Brantley went 14 for 17 for 252 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. His backup Jordan Reed went 3 for 5 for 26 yards in mop up duty. Demps and Moody combined for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. Demps accounted for both touchdowns and 107 of the yards. Reed had 2 carries for 17 yards and a touchdown. Everybody got inolved in the act catching the ball this afternoon, Deonte Thompson, Chris Dunkley, Frankie Hammond, Desmond Parks, Emanuel Moody, Gerald Christian, and Andre Debose all caught passes for the Gators, all except Christian and Debose caught multiple balls. Thompson, Dunkley, Moody, and Debose caught passes for touchdowns.

Defensively, freshman cornerback Jordan Haden, brother of former Florida great Joe, led the way with 10 tackles. AJ Jones, Lorenzo Edwards, and Joshua Evans all had interceptions.

Next wee the Gators take on hated rival Florida State before a bye week, then the showdown in Hotlanta with the LSU Tigers.
